Bus Crashes and Rolls Over Near Los Alamos, Injuring 7 People
LOS ALAMOS, CA (January 18, 2019) – Seven people were injured when a bus crashed and rolled over early in the morning on Friday near Los Alamos. The January 18 accident occurred on Highway 101, close to the off-ramp for Alisos Canyon Road.
The time was roughly 5:45 a.m., according to Santa Barbara County Fire officials.
Reports say the bus was heading southbound on the highway when it went out of control near Los Alamos, and to the south of it. In an area close to Alisos Canyon Road, the bus crashed and rolled off the highway, according to Dave Zaniboni. Zaniboni is a public information officer.
The bus had 24 people aboard, according to officials, who were traveling from Northern California. The train station in Santa Barbara was their destination.
Respondents arrived on scene to help the victims. Reports say that seven people were hurt, and respondents took them to hospitals in the area. The identities of the seven injured people—including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence—have not yet been reported. It is not known what types of injuries they suffered, nor their current condition.
