Pedestrian Fatally Struck on 710 Freeway According To CHP
Long Beach, CA (February 25, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident on the 710 Freeway Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred on February 25 at approximately 8:34 p.m. near the Long Beach Boulevard on-ramp. Authorities say a vehicle struck the pedestrian for reasons still under investigation.
Pedestrian Has Yet To Be Identified
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The identity of the pedestrian has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
It remains unclear whether the driver involved remained at the scene or cooperated with authorities. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision and will release further details as they become available.
