Two Killed in Head-On Collision on Seventh St.
LONG BEACH, CA (May 1, 2025) — Two men were killed early Thursday morning in a head-on collision involving a speeding driver on Seventh Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The fatal crash occurred around 6:20 a.m. near the intersection of Seventh Street and Terraine Avenue, just east of Recreation Park. Police said a blue Honda Civic sedan was traveling at high speed westbound on Seventh Street when the driver lost control, veered into oncoming traffic, and slammed head-on into a red Honda Accord.
Both Drivers Were Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Authorities have identified the driver of the Accord as 37-year-old Salvador Medina of Long Beach. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Department is still working to confirm the identity of the Civic’s driver, police said.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Long Beach Police Detective David Dougherty at 562-570-7358.
