Motorcycle Crash Kills Teenage Rider in East Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA (October 25, 2018) – A crash in the afternoon on Tuesday involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck killed a teenaged rider in Long Beach.
The October 23 accident occurred at Gondar Avenue and Wardlow Road. The time was roughly 12:15 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police.
A spokesperson for the police, Arantxa Chavarria, said that officers found a juvenile male motorcyclist who had been hit by a vehicle.
The motorcyclist was under 18 years old, according to Chavarria.
Responders from Long Beach Fire Department took the victim to a hospital in the area. The boy’s condition was critical. Chavarria said he died later from his injuries.
The person who had been driving the pickup stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation.
No other details have yet been reported.
