Crash on Harris Grade Road Near Lompoc Traps Driver
LOMPOC, CA (June 20, 2019) – A crash Wednesday morning close to Lompoc injured two people. The June 19 incident occurred on Harris Grade Road, not far from Onstott Road, and involved two vehicles.
The time was roughly 11:30 a.m.
Reports say two vehicles collided, but the vehicles have not been described, nor how the collision occurred. It is not clear from reports where each vehicle was struck, such as whether it was head-on, broadside, rear-end, or side-swipe, for example.
One of the drivers, identified only as a female, was trapped in a wrecked vehicle. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said firefighters rescued the woman by using the Jaws of Life to extricate her.
Responders transported the woman to a hospital. The types of injuries she suffered, and her current condition have not been reported. Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported. It is not known what vehicle she had been driving.
