Collision on Highway 135 Causes Vehicle to Overturn Near Vandenberg Air Force Base
LOMPOC, CA (March 12, 2020) – On Tuesday morning, two vehicles collided on Highway 135, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. The March 10 incident occurred near the onramp for Highway 1, and close to Vandenberg Air Force Base.
The time was roughly 8:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say two vehicles collided, but the manner in which the collision occurred has not been described. The line of travel each vehicle had been pursuing prior to colliding is not known. Neither of the vehicles has been described.
Responders arrived on scene to help. No one was reported to have been hurt in the incident.
The identity of each driver has not been reported, including name, age, gender, and city of residence. It is not known if anyone had been a passenger at the time of the crash.
Investigators are working to collect details and information to understand the factors that contributed to the crash, and the circumstances related to the incident.
