A Mitsubishi Lancer coupe crashed in Lancaster, causing the death of a 17-year old boy, Friday around 10:15 p.m. in Lancaster, CA. The driver responsible, also a juvenile, is being withheld by authorities. She was intoxicated when she crashed the vehicle.

The 17-year old female was driving the 17-year old male on the west side of a Sierra Highway. She was intoxicated at the time when she lost control of her vehicle and smashed it into a guardrail near Palmdale, north of the Angels Forest Highway.
She received minor injuries. Her passenger died from critical injuries resulting from the accident.
Authorities are withholding the juvenile driver as they further investigate the accident.
