Driver and Officer Injured in 2-Car Accident in Lancaster
Lancaster, CA (June 29, 2024) – A two-car accident at the intersection of 30th Street and Avenue I on Saturday morning left a driver and a sheriff’s deputy with minor injuries.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. A Lancaster sheriff’s deputy was responding to an emergency call with his patrol vehicle’s lights and sirens activated when it collided with another vehicle.
Force of The Crash Caused The Sheriffs Deputy’s Patrol Car To Overturn
The force of the crash caused the patrol car to overturn. Emergency personnel quickly arrived at the scene and transported both the deputy and the driver of the other vehicle to a local hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash and have not yet disclosed whether speed, DUI, or distracted driving were factors.
