One Person Dies in Multi-vehicle Crash on Highway 138 Near Lancaster
LANCASTER, CA (February 8, 2019) – A collision involving five vehicles killed one person late Thursday afternoon on Highway 138 in Lancaster. The February 7 accident occurred close to where the highway intersects with 60th Street West.
The time was roughly a little before 5:00 p.m.
Reports say five vehicles collided in an area one mile to the north of the city limit of Lancaster. The five vehicles involved in the collision have not been described.
Respondents arrived and discovered that one of the victims had died at the accident scene. The identity of the person who died—including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence—has not yet been reported. According to Captain Singleton, who is with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, another six people were hurt. Respondents transported the victims to the hospital. Two of the victims were taken by airlift.
