Hit-and-run Driver Strikes Pedestrian in Lake Forest, Killing Him
LAKE FOREST, CA (September 27, 2018) – A hit-and-run driver struck a pedestrian Monday night in Lake Forest, killing him. The September 24 accident occurred close to where Ridge Route Drive and Rockfield Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly 10:30 p.m., according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Reports say that witnesses found the victim in the street, lying on the road. The victim had an injury to his head.
Paramedics and deputies arrived at the site to provide help, but officials from Orange County Fire Authority pronounced the man deceased at the accident scene.
Officials identified the victim as Oscar Martinez, a 33-year-old resident of Lake Forest.
