Collision in Lake Forest Injures Two Deputies and a Civilian Driver

LAKE FOREST, CA (March 1, 2019) – A crash Thursday afternoon in Lake Forest injured two deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and a civilian driver. The February 28 accident occurred close to Town Center Drive and Entertainment, reports say.

The time was roughly 12:50 p.m.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the deputies had been attempting to stop a vehicle when the vehicle they were traveling in was hit by a third vehicle. The deputies were identified only as a female and a male. Respondents took the deputies to a hospital. Their injuries were described as mild to moderate. The identities of the deputies—including their names and ages—have not been reported. It is not known from reports what types of injuries they suffered, or their current condition.

A third person was also injured in the collision. Respondents took the person to the hospital. According to Tony Bommarito, who is a captain with the Orange County Fire Authority, the person suffered injuries that were described as minor.

The identity of the third person has not been reported, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence. It is not known what types of injuries the person suffered, or the person’s current condition. Reports do not make clear if the third person had been in the vehicle the deputies were trying to stop, or the third vehicle that was involved in the collision. It is not known from reports who was driving each of the vehicles, and if there were any passengers aboard the civilian vehicles at the time of the incident.
