Pedestrian Running On I-5 in Laguna Hills is Struck and Killed
LAGUNA HILLS, CA (May 19, 2020) – Early in the morning on Tuesday, a person who was running on I-5 in Laguna Hills was struck and killed. The May 19 incident occurred on the southbound side of the freeway, close to Alicia Parkway.
The time was roughly a little after midnight, the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say a witness called in to the California Highway Patrol to report that a person was running in the freeway’s lane. The person who was running was hit by a vehicle, according to reports.
It is not known what vehicle hit the victim; the driver has not been identified.
The victim has also not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.
Investigators are working to understand the circumstances of the crash, including how the person came to be on the freeway, and what vehicle or vehicles may have struck the person. No other details are known at this time.
