Motorcycle Carrying Three People Crashes in La Mesa, Killing One; Two Flee Scene
LA MESA, CA (November 1, 2019) – Late at night on Thursday, a motorcycle carrying three people crashed in La Mesa. One person died in the October 31 incident, and two people fled the site on State Route 125.
The time was roughly 11:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say people who witnessed the incident told authorities they saw three people on the motorcycle before the crash happened on the ramp to the westbound side of I-8 from the northbound side of State Route 125.
People who saw the incident said a woman and a man who had a helmet on fled on foot, leaving the victim.
Responders arrived and found the victim had died at the incident site. The identity of the victim has not been reported, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence.
Investigators are looking for the two people who fled. They are continuing their efforts to collect details, information, and evidence.
