According to authorities, the tragic incident unfolded when 20-year-old Isabella Ortega, for reasons yet unknown, left the scene after striking Garcia, a young mother to a 6-month-old boy. In the course of their investigation, law enforcement officers apprehended Ortega, subsequently booking her on charges of suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury or death and vehicular manslaughter.
