Police Seek Witnesses In Hit-and-Run Crash That Killed Jose Cervantes Garcia
POMONA, CA (April 6, 2025) – A 26-year-old man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning at the intersection of Philadelphia Street and Palomares Street in Pomona, authorities confirmed.
The Pomona Police Department responded to the scene around 3:10 a.m. on April 6. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, identified as Jose Cervantes Garcia, lying in the roadway with severe injuries.

Garcia, who police say was experiencing homelessness, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The driver involved fled before police arrived, and investigators are now working to identify the suspect and vehicle involved.
