60-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed by Big Rig in LA

Los Angeles, CA (March 2, 2024)  – Tragedy struck on Saturday afternoon, March 2, when Jerry Carter was fatally struck by a big rig at an intersection in Los Angeles.

The fatal incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue. Reports from the Los Angeles Police Department indicate that the big rig was making a westward turn onto Hollywood Boulevard when it collided with Carter.

Homeless Man Struck And Killed In Los Angeles

Jerry Carter, aged 60 and reportedly homeless according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, suffered fatal injuries from the impact and tragically passed away at the scene.

The driver of the big rig remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is currently ongoing.
