Jan Lopez Charged in Connection with Fatal Stabbing and Hit-and-Run Car Accident in Tustin

Anaheim Man Arrested For Fatally Stabbing a Man and Running Over a Woman
TUSTIN, CA (September 1, 2024) – Jan Daniel Lopez, a resident of Anaheim, is facing charges following a fatal stabbing and car accident that occurred on Sunday night on Pasadena Avenue near Nisson Road.
According to the Tustin Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 9:14 p.m. and found a man suffering from stab wounds and a woman who had been struck by a vehicle outside the Arbor Ranch Apartments on Pasadena Avenue. The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.
Tustin Police Are Asking Anyone With Information To Come Forward
Investigators believe Lopez was involved in either the stabbing, the car accident, or both. Witnesses reported that a vehicle crashed under unknown circumstances, and the stabbing took place shortly after. Lopez allegedly fled the scene before bystanders began assisting the injured woman.
Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to contact the Tustin Police Department.
