Crash at El Colegio Road Kills Three, Injures Five in Isla Vista, CA
ISLA VISTA, CA (June 1, 2022) – Early in the evening on Saturday in Isla Vista, a three-vehicle crash killed three people and injured five others. The May 28 crash occurred close to where Stadium Road and El Colegio Road are located.
The time was roughly 6:00 p.m., Santa Barbara County Fire said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, nor have the vehicles been described.
The sequence in which each vehicle crashed is not known from reports.
Responders found three people died in the crash. Their identities have not been reported.
Responders worked to free people who were trapped in the wreckage.
Two people suffered injuries that were described as major; three people suffered injuries described as moderate.
None of the injured have been identified.
Investigators are working to understand the causes of the crash.
