Two women Identified Who Died in Crash with Truck in Irvine
IRVINE, CA (September 17, 2018) – A crash in Irvine involving a truck and an SUV killed two women on Thursday. The coroner’s office has identified the two victims.
Lynda Bobzien, a 68-year-old resident of Tustin, and Doris Rogers, an 86-year-old resident of Tustin, died at the accident scene.
The September 13 collision occurred on Oak Canyon not far from Valley Oak Drive. The time was roughly a little after 10:00 a.m.
According to reports, Rogers had been driving the SUV when it collided with the box truck. Bobzien, and another person—also a woman—had been traveling in the SUV as passengers.
Orange County Fire Authority Battalion Chief Mike Morganstern said that the other passenger was in moderate condition when she was transported by responders to a hospital.
According to police, the person who had been driving the box truck was not injured in the collision. The driver of the truck cooperated with the investigation.
No other details were yet reported on what caused the crash. Investigators are continuing their examination of the details.
