Minor Traffic Collision at Manchester Blvd. in Inglewood Leads to Shooting
INGLEWOOD, CA (February 1, 2021) – At roughly noon on Saturday in Inglewood, a crash that was described as minor led to a shooting. The January 30 incident occurred in the area of Prairie Avenue and Manchester Boulevard.
Two vehicles–which have not been described–collided. According to Inglewood Police, the two drivers began to argue, and one of the drivers pulled out a gun and shot at the other person.
The suspected shooter then drove away from the crash site, reports say.
An officer with Inglewood Police saw the vehicle of the suspect near the intersection of Florence Avenue and La Brea Avenue. The officer followed the suspect’s vehicle, reports say, and in the area of the 700 block of N. La Brea Avenue, a crash happened.
According to police, the suspect got out of the vehicle and had a gun. The officer shot the suspect and wounded the person, reports say.
After running from the scene, the suspect was found by authorities and arrested. Responders transported the injured person to the hospital. The person’s condition was described as stable.
None of the people involved in the incident have been identified in reports.
