Man Walking Across Palm Avenue, In Imperial Beach, Struck and Killed

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (November 26, 2019) – Late in the afternoon on Sunday, a man who was walking across Palm Avenue in Imperial Beach was struck and killed. The November 24 incident occurred close to 11th Street.

The time was roughly 5:45 p.m., according to Tom Seiver. Seiver is a lieutenant with the San Diego County Sheriff’s office.

Reports say the man was crossing the road, but it is not known exactly where he had been crossing.

Responders arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the incident site. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.

The person who had been driving the vehicle that struck the man stayed at the incident site and cooperated with the investigation. The identity of the driver, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported. The vehicle has not been described.
