Weekend Crashes in Riverside County Kill Two in Idyllwild and Temescal Valley
IDYLLWILD AND TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA (November 5, 2018) – Two crashes over the weekend killed two people in Riverside County.
A crash in which a vehicle overturned in the evening on Saturday in Temescal Valley killed Jerome Ereth, a 29-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore. The November 3 accident occurred close to Pulsar Court and Temescal Canyon Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident site was next to I-15, and near Corona, roughly south by five miles. The time was roughly 9:33 p.m.
Riverside County Fire Department officials said the rollover crash threw Ereth from the vehicle—described as a Toyota Corolla—approximately 100 feet. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. A person who had been traveling with Ereth suffered injuries that were described as serious. The person’s identity has not yet been reported.
In an accident late Sunday afternoon in Idyllwild, the California Highway Patrol said, one person died. The November 4 crash occurred on State Route 243, also known as the Banning-Idyllwild Panoramic Highway, near Saunders Meadow Road and mile Marker 3.
The time was roughly 4:45 p.m.
No details have yet been reported on the identity of the victim, or what may have caused the crash.
Investigators are looking into the information about the accident.
