1 Person Dies in Pedestrian Accident on 101 Hwy in Hollywood
Hollywood, CA (March 27, 2024) – A tragic pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Wilton Place resulted in the death of one person, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred around 12:39 a.m. on Wednesday, when a northbound driver struck the pedestrian for reasons that are currently unknown. Upon arrival at the scene, CHP officers and emergency personnel discovered the victim in the far-left lane of the highway.
All Northbound Lanes Were Closed After Authorities Arrived On The Scene
Despite efforts to save the victim, they tragically succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have not released any information regarding the victim’s identity, including their name, age, or gender.
Following the accident, CHP issued a SigAlert, closing all northbound lanes to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident. At the time of the report, officials had not disclosed the cause of the crash or provided details about the driver involved.
CHP is urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the incident to contact them immediately.
