Driver Repeatedly Rams Vehicle at Corner Taco Truck in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 28, 2019) – A driver who repeatedly rammed another vehicle early in the morning on Sunday in Hollywood was captured on video from numerous cellphone cameras. The August 25 incident occurred where Lexington Avenue and Western Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 2:00 a.m.
Reports say people, who were eating food from a taco truck, had been using the hood of a Ford Mustang as a dining surface. The lot where the Mustang was parked was crowded, and some of the vehicles parked there were blocked.
A woman approached the group of people who were eating and yelled for them to move the Mustang out of the way so she could leave in her vehicle, described as a Mercedes-Benz. As one of the group of people had been in the Mustang to move it, the woman began to ram it repeatedly, reports say.
The person in the Mustang dashed out of the car, and his leg was hit by the other driver. The people involved in the incident contacted 911, reports say, and before authorities arrived on site, the woman came back to the scene on foot. According to reports, the woman then struck two people.
The owner of the Mustang has not been identified in reports. The person who attempted to move the Mustang has also not been identified in reports. It is not known if the person was injured.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on site, but the woman had fled. She has not been described in reports.
Investigators are searching for the woman and the vehicle involved in the incident. The person could face charges that include felony vandalism and battery.
