Man Fatally Struck by Metro Bus in Hacienda Heights
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA (September 23, 2024) – A man was killed after being struck by a Metro Bus near Azusa Avenue and Pepperbrook Way on Monday evening. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the fatal incident occurred at approximately 5:42 p.m.
CHP Investigators Are Still Trying To Determine How A Metro Bus Hit The Man
Details surrounding the crash remain unclear, but CHP officers confirmed that a Foothill Transit Agency bus hit a male pedestrian in the unincorporated area of Hacienda Heights. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly after.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has withheld the victim’s identity, pending notification of the next of kin.
Authorities are asking any witnesses who may have seen the crash to contact the CHP as the investigation remains ongoing.
