Big Rig Overturns in Multiple-vehicle Collision on State Route 118 in Granada Hills

GRANADA HILLS, CA (February 12, 2019) – A big rig overturned in a collision involving multiple vehicles early in the morning on Monday on State Route 118 in Granada Hills. The February 11 accident led to authorities closing all lanes of traffic that head east.

Reports say that three vehicles collided near Hayvenhurst Street, and to the east of it. The time was roughly a little after 5:40 a.m. Responders arrived and worked to extricate the person who was in the vehicle that overturned. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not yet been reported. It is not known from reports if the person suffered injuries, and if the person had been a driver of the vehicle.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two people were taken to a hospital. One of the victims suffered injuries that were described as major. The identities of the people, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence, have not yet been reported. It is not known what types of injuries they suffered, or their current condition.
