Multiple Collisions affect Traffic Friday Morning on Highway 101 Near Gaviota
GAVIOTA, CA (February 15, 2019) – Multiple collisions on Friday morning affected traffic on Highway 101 in the area of Gaviota. The February 15 accidents involved different crashes on the southbound side of the highway.
The multiple collision events occurred roughly at 6:30 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a crash happened north of the rest area. Reports do not describe the vehicles involved in that crash, or the circumstances that led to the collision. The drivers of the vehicles involved have not been identified, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence. It is not known if anyone had been traveling as a passenger in any of the vehicles involved. Reports do not say if anyone suffered injuries in the collision.
A different collision involving two vehicles was also reported in the same stretch of highway. No details have been reported on the types of vehicles involved, or the factors that caused the crash. Another crash, which also involved two vehicles, happened to the south of the rest area near Gaviota, and also on the southbound side of the highway.
