Garden Grove, CA (July 7, 2024) — A hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle and a group of bicyclists left two adults and three children injured near Haster Street and Twintree Lane on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when a motorist struck two adults on bicycles who were towing three children in a carrier. The driver fled the scene, leaving all five victims with varying degrees of injuries.
Paramedics Quickly Transported 1 Adult and 2 Children To A Trauma Center In Critical Condition
Emergency responders from the Garden Grove Police Department and the Orange County Fire Authority quickly arrived at the scene. Paramedics treated the injured before transporting one adult and two children to a trauma center in critical condition.
Authorities later apprehended the driver, although it remains unclear if factors such as impairment, speeding, or distracted driving contributed to the accident.
