Vehicle Falls into Garden Grove Swimming Pool after Collision; One Killed, One Injured
GARDEN GROVE, CA (March 12, 2021) – Early in the morning on Friday in Garden Grove, a vehicle fell into a swimming pool after a crash; one person was killed and another injured. The March 12 incident occurred after two vehicles collided close to where Orangewood Avenue and South Euclid Street intersect.
The time was roughly a little after 3:00 a.m., Orange County Fire Authority said.
Two vehicles collided, but the manner in which the crash occurred has not been described. The vehicles have also not been described.
Reports say one vehicle broke off a fire hydrant, smashed through a wall, and fell into a swimming pool in the area. The other vehicle rolled over, and came to a stop on the roadway.
Responders arrived to help. They pronounced one person deceased at the crash site. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
It is not known which vehicle the person had been traveling in.
Responders took a person to a hospital in the area. The condition of the person is not known.
