Wrong-Way Crash Injures 2 in Downtown Fresno
Fresno, CA (June 12, 2024) – A wrong-way accident at the intersection of Tulare Street and M Street in downtown Fresno resulted in two people being hospitalized on Wednesday morning, June 12.
The Fresno Police Department reported that a vehicle carrying two individuals was traveling in the wrong direction when it ran a red light and collided with a Fresno Unified School District SUV. The force of the impact caused the district’s SUV to overturn.
2 People Were Transported To The Hospital With Significant Injuries
The SUV’s driver, who was the sole occupant, sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to the hospital. Additionally, one of the occupants from the wrong-way vehicle was also hospitalized.
At this time, it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The incident is under active investigation.
