Man Crossing Busy Street At Night Struck and Killed in Tragic Accident
Fresno, CA (January 26, 2025) – A man lost his life Sunday evening in a pedestrian accident on Herndon Avenue near Blackstone Avenue, the Fresno Police Department confirmed.
The incident occurred on January 26 at approximately 9:20 p.m. According to authorities, the man ran across all six lanes of traffic when an eastbound vehicle struck him in the number three lane.
First Responders Rushed The Victim To A Nearby Hospital, But It Was Too Late
Emergency crews rushed the victim to St. Agnes Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of his family.
The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police reported that the driver was evaluated for DUI, though no further details have been disclosed.
The Fresno Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances leading to the fatal accident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
