Pedestrian Crossing Street Injured in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (February 9, 2025) – A man was injured in a pedestrian accident Sunday night at the intersection of Blackstone Avenue and Shields Avenue, according to Fresno Police.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when a southbound driver struck a man—believed to be unhoused—who was crossing outside a marked crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Drugs and Alcohol Were Not A Factor In The Accident
Police have not determined the exact cause of the crash but confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors.
Paramedics transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.
