Police Investigating Male Pedestrian Being Struck & Killed
FRESNO, CA (February 27, 2025) – A 30-year-old Fresno man was fatally struck by a vehicle last Thursday in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Hughes and Michigan avenues, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. on February 27, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. The victim, identified as Stevie Esqueda, was found lying in the roadway and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Driver of SUV Remained Behind and Cooperated With Police
The driver of the SUV involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No arrests have been made at this time.
The Fresno Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and working to determine fault. Authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward with information to assist in the investigation.
