Hit-and-run Crash at Euclid and Edinger in Fountain Valley Kills Pedestrian
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (July 7, 2020) – In the evening on the Fourth of July, a pedestrian was struck and killed in Fountain Valley by a hit-and-run driver. The incident occurred where Edinger Avenue and Euclid Street intersect.
The time was roughly 8:11 p.m., according to Fountain Valley Police.
Reports say responders arrived and found the victim trapped beneath a vehicle–described as a Mercedes-Benz C250–which later investigation showed not to be the first vehicle to hit her. A vehicle–described as a crossover-type–struck the victim and left the scene.
Responders pronounced the victim deceased at the incident site. Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The identity of the driver of the Mercedes-Benz has not been reported, including name, age, gender, and city of residence. The driver remained at the site and cooperated with investigators.
