An accident occurred in Irvine near Beckham High School Wednesday morning in which a 47 year old, Oanh Tran was killed. She was standing on the sidewalk near Bryan Avenue and Rubica when the accident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. She was found dead at the scene.
Tran was said to be a resident of Costa Mesa.
The man driving a Kia sedan was from Irvine. He was found in a semiconscious state. He was thrown 15 to 20 feet from the car he was driving.
He sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized
An investigation is on going.
