Forest Ranch, CA – Accident on Highway 32 Kills Hailey Jones, Injures Susan Pool

FOREST RANCH, CA (July 3, 2018) – Hailey Jones was killed, and Susan Pool was injured in a collision that happened on Highway 32 near Headwaters Road.

The crash happened on Sunday, July1, around 7:00 pm.

News reports say that one car pulled out in front of another car. The other car did not have enough time to stop.

Reports identify the victims as Hailey J. Jones, a 20-year-old from Forest Ranch, and Susan D. Pool, a 58-year-old from Woodland. Jones died of injuries she suffered as a result of the collision. Pool suffered injuries that were characterized as minor. Responders took her to Enloe Medical Center.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, Jones was heading north in a 2007 Toyota Scion on Headwaters Road. She stopped at the intersection with Highway 32. Pool was heading east in a 2013 Toyota Highlander on Highway 32. The report says that Jones drove directly in front of Pool. Pool’s vehicle then hit Jones’ vehicle on the door of the driver’s side.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have played a role in the cause of the crash. Arrests were not made, CHP says.
