Female Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Fontana
Fontana, CA (February 15, 2024) – A pedestrian was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash on San Bernardino Avenue Thursday evening, February 15. The fatal incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. just west of Sierra Avenue, according to the Fontana Police Department.

Reports indicate that the victim was crossing San Bernardino Avenue from the north side near the Northgate Market, heading south, when she was struck by a gray SUV or truck. Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without providing any assistance.
Firefighter paramedics arrived at the scene and provided treatment to the victim. She was then transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Fontana Police Department’s Major Accident Investigations Team (MAIT) has taken over the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact them at 909-350-7700.
