Intentional Hit-and-run Crash that Killed Motorcyclist in Fontana Leads to Arrest
FONTANA, CA (November 19, 2020) – A hit-and-run crash in Fontana that killed a motorcyclist led to the arrest of a suspect. The November 17 incident, which occurred on Arrow Boulevard at Locust Avenue, is believed by authorities to be intentional.
The time was roughly 9:00 a.m., Fontana Police said.
The suspect driver had been traveling east on Arrow Boulevard and went through a light that was red, according to reports. The suspect driver struck a motorcyclist who had been traveling on Locust Avenue.
The impact knocked the motorcyclist to the ground. The suspect is alleged to have driven through the intersection and then executed a U-turn. The driver is alleged to have driven back the incident site.
Authorities allege the suspect driver hit the rider again, the second time on purpose, and then left the site.
Responders transported the victim to the hospital. He died in the hospital.
He was identified only as 53 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Authorities described the vehicle involved in the crash as an Oldsmobile Intrigue, white in color. They arrested a suspect they believe was the driver in the incident.
He was identified as Kevin Alexander, a resident of San Bernardino, 29 years old. Alexander faces homicide charges, according to authorities.
Investigators are continuing their work on the incident.
