15-Year-Old Teen Killed in Off-Road Crash on Escondido Road near Ranchero Road
Hesperia, CA (December 19, 2023) — In a devastating incident, Fernando Gamiz Jr. lost his life in an off-road crash near the intersection of Escondido Road and Ranchero Road. The fatal accident occurred on December 15 at approximately 7:54 p.m., involving a collision between a dirt bike and a quad.
Fernando Gamiz Jr Was Ejected From An Off Road Vehicle and Left In Critical Condition
Details surrounding the off-road tragedy remain unclear, but it was reported that the impact of the collision caused one of the off-road vehicles to overturn, ejecting a rider onto the pavement. Emergency responders from the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived promptly to the scene and discovered one rider, Fernando Gamiz Jr., in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel at the site and subsequent transportation to Desert Valley Hospital, Fernando Gamiz Jr. could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead. The second rider involved in the collision returned to the scene shortly after the incident. This individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, suffered minor hand injuries and cuts to the face but declined medical transportation.
