Crash on Jamacha Road in El Cajon Injures Pedestrian
EL CAJON, CA (November 3, 2020) – On Saturday evening in El Cajon, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle. The October 31 incident occurred on Jamacha Road in the 400 block.
The time was roughly 6:25 p.m., according to El Cajon Police.
A man who was walking across Jamacha Road was struck by a vehicle, described as a Toyota pickup truck. Responders arrived and transported the man, who was not conscious, to a hospital.
He is reported to have suffered injuries that include wounds to his leg and head. His current condition is not known.
He was identified only as 49 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The Toyota’s driver stayed at the incident site. The identity of the driver has not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand why the incident happened. They are working to gather the information necessary for that effort.
