A little after 8:00am, a collision involving two vehicles blocked several lanes of traffic on the northbound 57 in Brea a little south of Imperial Highway. According to a California Highway Patrol officer, the Orange County Register reports, the crash happened when a young man who was following his father’s Chevrolet Suburban in the number 1 lane swerved to avoid hitting him when traffic stopped.
The young man who was driving a Toyota 4Runner moved to the right into the number 2 lane where he hit the rear-end of a Dodge Caravan, then sideswiped a semi-truck car carrier, and then flipped over the Register reports.
The Toyota’s driver was not injured in the crash, but the person who had been driving the Caravan was taken to the hospital. No other details were available.
