Downtown Los Angeles Early Morning Crash Sends 2 To The Hospital

Two Hospitalized After Crash in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 20, 2025) — Two people were hospitalized early Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle crash that also damaged a fire hydrant in Downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.

The collision occurred around 1:04 a.m. at the intersection of Third and Alameda streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Responding officers found a silver Chevrolet Camaro and another unidentified vehicle involved in the crash.

Both Drivers Were Transported To A Nearby Hospital

Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.

The impact of the collision also damaged a fire hydrant at the scene, though no major flooding was reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. LAPD briefly closed the intersection as officers examined the scene and cleared the wreckage.
