Downey Crash on 5 Freeway Involves Multiple Vehicles
DOWNEY, CA (October 9, 2020) – Multiple vehicles collided early in the morning on Friday in Downey. The October 9 incident occurred on the 5 Freeway in the southbound lanes near Lakewood Boulevard.
The time was roughly a little before 6:00 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The exact number of vehicles involved in the crash have not been reported, nor have the makes of the vehicles. It is not yet known what sequence of events occurred related to the collision.
None of the drivers involved in the crash have been identified, and it is not known if passengers were present in any of the vehicles at the time of the crash.
Reports do not say if anyone was hurt in the crash. The collision resulted in lane closures on the freeway.
