Man Identified as Victim Killed by Hit-and-run Driver in Culver City
CULVER CITY, CA (November 7, 2019) – Reynaldo Martinez was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner and the Culver City Police Department as the victim who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Sunday morning. The November 3 incident occurred on Washington Place, near Frances Avenue and to the west of it.
The time was roughly 1:45 a.m.
Reports say Martinez had been walking across the street and a vehicle hit him. The driver did not stop to help Martinez, and fled the incident site.
Responders arrived and found the injured man lying in the road. He died at the incident site. Martinez was 60 years old, and a resident of Culver City.
Investigators are searching the vehicle involved, and the driver suspected of hit-and-run. They are continuing to collect evidence, details, and information.
