LA MESA, CA (August 5, 2018) – A crash on Fury Lane involving a dump truck caused injuries in La Mesa on Tuesday morning. The July 31 crash occurred at roughly 7:00 a.m. where Fury Lane and Avocado Boulevard intersect, California Highway Patrol said.
The vehicles involved were described in CHP’s report as a dump truck and a blue Toyota SUV. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to overturn and completely roll over back onto its tires.
The SUV came to rest halfway up a sidewalk nearby. Reports say it had also smacked into a fence at a school, and a power box belonging to San Diego Gas and Electric that was located in the area.
Responders arrived on scene to provide medical attention. One person who was traveling in one of the vehicles that collided suffered injuries that required rush transport to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
Identities of the people involved in the crash have not yet been released. Investigators are continuing their search into the causes of the accident.
