WESTMINSTER, CA (July 19, 2018) – A crash on the 405 Freeway in Westminster Thursday morning was due to reckless driving, a report says.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway, a little north of Seal Beach Boulevard.
The time was roughly 7:50 a.m.
The crash happened after a vehicle, described as Chevrolet Camaro, traveled from the right lane in a reckless manner to the center divider, a report from the California Highway Patrol says.
A vehicle then struck the Camaro. Other vehicles involved in the incident were described as a GMC Yukon, a BMW 320i, and a dump truck.
Paramedics arrived on scene to provide medical attention. One person, according to a report, was taken to a hospital. The injuries of the victim were not described.
Debris from the collision was strewn in the freeway lanes.
Investigators are examining the details to obtain a clearer picture of what caused the crash.
