Collision on 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa Causes Fatality
COSTA MESA, CA (March 27, 2019) – A collision early in the morning on Wednesday caused a fatality on the 405 Freeway in Costa Mesa. The March 27 accident occurred in the freeway’s lanes that head north.
The time was roughly a bit after 5:00 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Reports say that the California Highway Patrol had to close all of the lanes on the northbound side of the freeway in the area of Harbor Boulevard. Few details have been described, but reports indicate that two crashes occurred in which multiple vehicles were involved. One of the crashes was a fatal accident.
The types of vehicles involved in the crash have not been described. The identities of the people involved in the two collisions have not been reported, and it is not known who was killed in one of the crashes.
