Crash on 91 Freeway involving Big Rig, a Work Truck and Car Kills One in Corona, CA
CORONA, CA (April 1, 2022) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Corona, a crash on the 91 Freeway involving three vehicles killed a person. The March 30 crash occurred on the eastbound side of the freeway near Green River Road.
The time was roughly 1:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
A car–described as a Volvo–hit a work truck that was located on the freeway’s right shoulder, according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver of the Volvo steered back into the traffic lane, and a big rig struck the Volvo.
Responders found the person who was driving the Volvo died at the crash site. The identity of the person has not been reported.
The big rig ended up beside the freeway, according to reports, and was fully burning.
Reports do not say if the truck driver was hurt in the crash. The person has not been identified.
It is also not known if anyone was in the work truck when it was hit.
Investigators are working on the crash.
