Semi Truck Crashes, Goes off 10 Freeway in Colton, Catches Fire

COLTON, CA (January 16, 2019) – A semi truck crashed in the evening on Tuesday in Colton, going off the 10 Freeway and catching fire. The January 15 accident occurred close to La Cadena Drive.

The time was roughly 7:30 p.m.

Reports say a semi crashed, and then went off the freeway, traveling over the roadway’s side. With some lanes blocked, the semi then erupted in flames. Officers from the California Highway Patrol arrived on scene and closed the freeway in both directions due to the fire. It is not clear from reports what side of the freeway the crash occurred.

According to reports, the person who had been driving the semi escaped from the wreck, and did not suffer injuries that were serious.
