Two Suspects Arrested in Connection with Auto Burglaries in Claremont

CLAREMONT, CA (March 30, 2020) – On Tuesday, two suspects were arrested in connection with a number of auto burglaries in Claremont. According to Claremont Police, as many as 12 vehicles were stolen in which the windows had been smashed. Most of the incidents happened at apartment complexes located on Bonita Avenue, and also in the area of Claremont Boulevard and Foothill, where the Brighton Park Apartments are located.

Reports say video from a surveillance camera recorded the two suspects and a vehicle that was suspected stolen. On March 24, a police officer spotted the vehicle that was in the recorded video, traveling in the area of Indian Hill Boulevard and San Jose Avenue.

Authorities arrested two people who were in the car in connection with the vehicle burglaries. Inside the vehicle they were traveling in were burglary tools, reports say, and broken glass.

The two suspects were identified as a male 32 years old, and a female, 38 years old. The suspects are residents of Riverside. Their names have not been reported.

The two were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Investigators are working on collecting details and evidence regarding the burglaries. The owners of the vehicles have not been identified in reports.
